Campaign Story
* Typical cost of capstone projects (including registrations, travel and supplies) is about $1200.
* I am trying to raise $600 as family and school will cover the rest.
Goals for My Fundraiser:
Supporting my capstone project
*** I plan to pursue the project though participation in TSA activities like competitions and community service. ***
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that helps students explore STEM through hands-on projects, competitions, and leadership opportunities.
What is ‘Gamified Financial Literacy App’
Develop an interactive video game that simulates financial markets and personal finance scenarios, blending game mechanics with real-life financial decision-making tools.

Why I am pursuing this project (My why)
- I am a ‘Facilitator’ personality type person with strong ‘innovator’ business potential.
- I’m a total whiz at game development and design and I’m using those skills to shake up the world of finance. I’m working on a cool project to blend creativity with money matters, with the goal of helping people understand and control their own finances. I want to use my love for gaming to make financial independence fun and achievable for everyone..
My plan of action: Competitions and Activities
Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) to join:
TSA – The Technology Student Association focuses on STEM and technical design projects, fostering innovation and hands-on experience, a perfect match for the technical aspects of the passion project.
FBLA – Future Business Leaders of America emphasizes business acumen, leadership, and financial literacy, aligning with the innovative business potential and strategic direction of the project.
Competitions
FBLA – Business Plan
This advanced competition allows the student to develop a comprehensive business strategy that complements the technical aspects, ensuring the app’s financial and market viability.
Community Service:
Local Financial Literacy Workshop
Why it fits: The workshop engages the community in Alpharetta (zip code 30058) to promote financial literacy. It directly supports the app’s mission by gathering real-world feedback and building user interest.
Implementation: Plan and implement a series of workshops at a local community center. Collaborate with local banks or non-profits to schedule sessions, develop curriculum, and solicit feedback from participants.
Skills Development: Public speaking, community engagement, teaching, financial literacy
